Elyse & Jared || DOUBLE CEREMONIES!

So I think we can all agree on one thing... COVID stinks. Not a fan.

But BOY did this sweet couple make the best of their COVID wedding. When quarantine began, Elyse and Jared made a unique choice for their May wedding--instead of rescheduling their big day, these two had a small, intimate ceremony on their original wedding date and then a straight up P A R T Y with their family and friends when government restrictions lifted.

So FIRST UP:

May 22, 2020

The first time I got the opportunity to be with this couple was on their first wedding day. Even though COVID got in the way of the wedding they had planned and expected, Elyse and Jared were both wonderful for the entire day.

And, I have to say, small, intimate ceremonies are a favorite of mine.

I love all of the weddings I shoot, but there's something about small weddings that shifts the focus entirely onto the couple's love.

This is EXACTLY what the first Schubert wedding was like.

With just a handful of guests at this ceremony, the love in the air was TANGIBLE, and it was just a little extra special during a couple of moments:

First, the first looks

Because Elyse lost her dad, she had such special first looks with her grandparents and her brother. In the video, you can see that Elyse attached a photo of her dad to her bouquet so that he could still walk her down the aisle.

I know I've talked about how much I love Deep in the Heart Farms before (and it's true!), but Elyse and Jared somehow made me love it more.

After making the Mr. and Mrs. offish, these two rang the church bell and had their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Schubert outside IN FRONT OF THE CHAPEL.

Tell me that's not the CUTEST first dance ever!

And now for the SECOND ceremony:

July 5, 2020

It's paarrrttyyy tiimmmeeeee!

^(This was us behind the camera)^

As much as I love intimate weddings, it's hard to beat a fun reception.

It was so important for Elyse and Jared to celebrate their love with their friends and family, and it was definitely a celebration.

Everyone was so excited to be there, and Elyse and Jared were both so grateful to everyone who came out.

Even though Governor Abbott okayed wedding celebrations, there were still some restrictions during the July ceremony.

Everyone showed up in their masks to celebrate Elyse and Jared and it was so sweet to see such a great turnout!

This wedding was a little extra special for me because Elyse's MOH is an old bride of mine! I had the pleasure of shooting Brittany's wedding back in 2017. Elyse was a bridesmaid in Brittany's wedding, so this was kind of a full circle moment for me!

We love this second video because it includes something that Vine & Branches Productions doesn't usually include in highlight videos--INTERVIEWS!

We added some sweet messages from friends and family into this video, including some GREAT wedding advice.
