Brittany + John Hackleman

Updated: Apr 25, 2020

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. - Ecclesiastes 3:11

What a sweet and faithful couple.

Brittany and John are such a wonderful example of what it means to trust in God's timing.

These two have been together for SIX WHOLE YEARS--2,302 days, to be exact.

Love is patient, and that's a whole lot of patience, y'all.

The Hackleman wedding was so Christ-centered that it got me thinking about what it really means to be in a season of waiting.

Ecclesiastes tells us that God has made everything beautiful in its time.

Not in my time.

Not in your best friend's time.

Not in when-we-think-it-should-be-happening time.

But in the time that God has designated.

It's His perfect timing.

I don't know about y'all, but 2,302 days is a LONG time to wait to become one with the person you love most in the world.

Brittany and John's faithfulness was rewarded on their picture-perfect Valentine's Day wedding and will continue to be rewarded for eternity.

HOW AWESOME IS THAT, Y'ALL?

Today I want to encourage all of us in a period of waiting--you may be waiting for a job or a marriage or a diploma or a pay raise, but, friends, we never have to be in a waiting period for the joy that Christ provides.

Live in the joy of Christ today while you're waiting.

The reward is pretty dang worth the wait.
